TYPES OF TIE

1. Bow Tie
There's something undeniably fancy about a bow tie. A black satin bow tie is timeless and a classic piece that accompany a tuxedo. Bow ties are not just a formal thing, you can add it to your casual outfit for a spectacular effect. For casual outfit, use ties that are colourful and play with patterns.

2. Knitted Tie
This is something most men are not familiar with. A traditional knit tie is flat at the bottom because that’s the way it’s knitted and it’s also straight on the sides, that means the top of the tie is as wide as the bottom. It is less formal and therefore, it’s very well suited for most outfits today which are more casual and relaxed. For a business suit, stay away from wool knit ties and stick with silk knit ties because the difference in terms of formality is just right. The wool would be too casual while a silk knit tie, on the other hand, is different enough to make it look interesting without being totally over-the-top and different.

3. Neck Tie
This is the bread and butter of the tie world. First and foremost, a 100% silk, hand stitched tie is a treasure and point of pride for any modern-day gent. When determining the colour and pattern of your tie, you should first consider the colour of your shirt  and then your suit.
A skinny tie will be perfect for a slim gentleman while a wide tie will work best for a broad man. However, if you’re more of an average guy with an average to athletic build, the world is your oyster, feel free to wear any necktie.
